Lewistown is a borough in and the county seat of Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, United States. [3] It is the principal city of the Lewistown, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Mifflin County. [4] It lies along the Juniata River, 61 miles (98 km) northwest of Harrisburg.

The entire building was remodeled into offices in the 1980s and currently houses a variety of businesses including In Home Services of Central PA, United Cerebral Palsy, Snowflake's On The Square Christmas Shop, and the Mifflin-Juniata Arts Council. The grocery store was originally leased by the Weis Pure Foods Stores, today’s Weis Markets. A full playground was built for the school and village. American Viscose gifted the land for the church in 1950. It opened in 1952. Today, the village is the same except that 52 of the garages remain and the school is being repurposed.

Lewistown's athletic teams were called the Panthers and their colors were blue and white. The school's original colors were maroon and silver, but were changed after the break-up of Penn Highlands High School, as the new incarnation of Lewistown High inherited the blue and white sports and band uniforms of the defunct Penn Highlands school.
