The Nissan Patrol (Japanese: 日産・パトロール, Hepburn: Nissan Patorōru) is a series of off-road vehicles and full-size SUVs manufactured by Nissan in Japan since 1951 and sold throughout the world. It is Nissan's longest running series of models.
The 2.5 L (2,488 cc) SD25 is the biggest version of the four-cylinder SD series, with the larger bore and stroke of 89 mm × 100 mm (3.50 in × 3.94 in). It was fitted to Nissan 720 pickup trucks 1983 through 1986 and D21 Nissan pickups (only 1986–1988). In some European markets it was also fitted to the Nissan Urvan and Cabstar.

The Hydraulic Body Motion Control System (HBMC) technology was employed initially in the Nissan Patrol, and subsequently the Infiniti QX. The system was invented and developed by Nissan Motors and was tested on the Nissan Patrol in the Middle East. The system helps reduce body lean while turning for a more comfortable ride.
