Reiko Nagase (永瀬麗子, Nagase Reiko) is a character in Bandai Namco's Ridge Racer series. Originally created by artist Kei Yoshimizu for the 1995 video game Rave Racer, she was given a name and expanded role in the game's sequel due to how well she contrasted against the series' racing element, becoming a mascot for the company.
Gameplay screenshot. In Ridge Racer V the player is a racing driver taking part in events across Ridge City in a variety of fictional cars. As with previous Ridge Racer games, the focus is on accessible and fun drift racing rather than simulating how a car behaves in the real world; as such the player is encouraged to powerslide around most corners by tapping the brake when entering the turn.
