Note: Vo-Techs often use web based training, so if someone could put together a well produced and affordable basic 70E training they could make a LOT of money. There's a company out there providing a vey well produced OSHA-10 online training for $25/student.
I have taken on-line courses from the Mike Holt main web site and from Blue Volt. Both organizations sent a record of completion directly (i.e., electronically) to my state licensing office, and I was immediately given CEU credit for the course.
I was waiting to hear if that bill passed. I had already purchased my Mike Holt online training which is 16 hours. Now I have to contact Mike Holt and see if he can restructure the training package to be 11 hours. Usually I like learning extra stuff, but I think I want to avoid having to do the extra 5 hours this round.

Best bet is to take some electrical theory classes at a local JC so they understand what Volts, Amps, Ohms, Watts, etc. are. Hopefully the JC has an electrical lab where they can learn to properly use meters, scopes, and other electrical instruments. Beyond that, there are a ton of electrical trainers out there.

Mar 22, 2016. #1. After watching some of the Mike Holt videos on YouTube, I decided to bite the bullet and order the "Ultimate Training Library". It arrived in the mail a couple of days ago. What a wonderful program and in my opinion the best training around. The costumer service is absolutely the best.
