Slottech Panther and Wizzard Patriot are similar - they have short, chunky traction magnets similar to a 440X2 and similar overall setups. No BSRT matches these traction mags. Slottech Thundercat and Wizzard Storm and BSRT G3 are similar - longer, skinnier traction mags and similar overall setups.
General discussion about HO scale slot cars. Brilliant car, with 2 good equally brilliant copies from Slottech and WHP out there, and cheap ways of doing the same sort of thing with Aurora G+s or the more modern 'toy' cars (Tyco etc)with the magnets replaced with lumps of brass made by the likes of JW.

If you search YouTube for "Gary Beedle BSRT slot cars" you will find a couple of videos that show how to disassemble and assemble the BSRT G3 car which is very similar to the AFX Super-G+. KRab. Viper-Jet, Rear Weight Comparisons. 04-19-2020, 06:10 AM. For the 2020 - 2021 racing season, HOCOC will allow the use of the Harden Creek Slotcars (HCS) molded copper rear weights in the Viper Scale Racing (VSR) Viper-Jet. This chassis fits into our NSC series designed for the brass weighted "Jet" cars and uses HOST Gen 6 NASCAR bodies.
If you do want to do organized races it might be best to use the same voltage as the clubs in your area use. 18-20 volts is used for most HO cars. 12 volts is normally used for G-Jet type cars and gravity cars. 24 volts is normally used for drag racing.
