The Crockett Tavern Museum is a history museum in Morristown, Tennessee, that commemorates the American folk hero David "Davy" Crockett. The museum was started in 1955, when a popular craze over the legacy of Davy Crockett was at its peak, and opened in 1958. The park was established in 1959 on 1,100 acres (450 ha) of land that includes the site where Crockett had his mills and distillery. [2] [3] Park facilities include reconstructions of a dam and mill.
