Cobra Verde is an American rock band formed in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1994, the group has released six albums, including the acclaimed Nightlife, Easy Listening , and Haven't Slept All Year. Cobra Verde's music has been featured on television programs such as True Blood , Entourage , The OC , Shameless , and Sons of Anarchy .
In a 1995 interview with Jann Wenner for Rolling Stone, entitled "Jagger Remembers," Jagger said, "'Play with Fire' sounds amazing—when I heard it last. I mean, it's a very in-your-face kind of sound and very clearly done. You can hear all the vocal stuff on it. And I'm playing the tambourines, the vocal line. You know, it's very pretty."
The soundtrack featured artists C. C. Adcock, Cobra Verde, Lucinda Williams, Lee Dorsey, Ryan Adams, John Doe, Kathleen Edwards amongst several others. [2] The album also featured the theme song "Bad Things" by Jace Everett from his 2005 self-titled debut. [3]
Cobra Verde is the sixteenth album by Popol Vuh. It was originally released in 1987 on Milan Records as the original motion picture soundtrack of Werner Herzog 's Cobra Verde with Klaus Kinski . In 2006 SPV re-released the album with one bonus track (recorded during the sessions for the 1991 Popol Vuh album For You and Me ).
