Before his career as an indoor volleyball player, Michał Kubiak played beach volleyball with Zbigniew Bartman. They won a gold medal at the European U18 Championship in 2004 and a silver medal at the World U18 Championship, [1] also in 2004. Both Kubiak and Bartman gave up playing beach volleyball.
In 2011, Gardini became an assistant coach of Andrea Anastasi in the Polish national volleyball team. On 10 July 2011, they led Poland to a bronze medal of the 2011 World League, the nation's first ever World League medal. He plays for the Italian national team, because he was raised in Italy and he has never received an offer to play for Poland. He speaks the Polish language very well. The 2022 Men's U22 European Volleyball Championship was the inaugural edition of the Men's U22 European Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organized by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).
