Maud Lilburn MacLellan OBE (6 October 1903 – 21 May 1977) was a Scottish commanding officer of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY). Whilst being obliged to serve with the ATS during the war she taught the future Queen Elizabeth to drive.
Morten began writing articles on nursing for numerous publications, and in 1891 her influential Nurse's Dictionary of Medical Terms and Nursing Treatment [4] was first published. This publication became a core nursing text for the next one hundred years and was regularly published in new editions with a 30th edition being published in 1992. [5]
