The Kauai Plantation Railway is a heritage railroad on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.Built in 2006 and opened in January 2007, the railroad operates on a 2.5-mile (4 km) long track within the Kilohana Plantation and offers passenger rides around the plantation, pulled by a 1940s diesel locomotive.

The train passes plots leased by farmers who grow a wide variety of crops, from the culturally important taro to pineapple, papaya, rambutan, tropical hardwood trees, tobacco, and coffee, a more recent cash crop in Kauai. The idea is to show the future of Kauai's agricultural industry in its rich historic and cultural context. [5]

The Hawaiian Railway Society is a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge heritage railroad and railroad museum in Ewa, Hawaii, USA, on the island of Oahu. It uses the trackbed of the defunct Oahu Railway and Land Company. It is currently the only operating railroad museum in the U.S State of Hawaii.

[5] The Hawaiian Station Name Working Group proposed Hawaiian names for the nine rail stations on the ʻEwa end of the rail system (stations west of and including Aloha Stadium) in November 2017, [6] and HART adopted the proposed names on February 22, 2018. The Lahaina, Kaanapali and Pacific Railroad (LKPRR) was a steam-powered, 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge heritage railroad in Lāhainā, Hawaii.The LKPRR operated the Sugar Cane Train, a 6-mile (9.7 km), 40-minute trip in open-air coaches pulled by vintage steam locomotives.
