Cunningham Township is a township in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 38,336 and it contained 18,321 housing units. [2] Cunningham Township is coterminous with the City of Urbana. It is one of two coterminous townships in Champaign County and one of seventeen coterminous townships statewide. [3]
The Andrew Cunningham Farm is located near the Cass County, Illinois city of Virginia. The Cunningham Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of only two such sites in Cass County. The other site, in Beardstown, is the Beardstown Grand Opera House. The farm is about two and a half miles east of Virginia.
The Hoopes-Cunningham Mansion is a historic home located at 424 E. Penn St. in Hoopeston, Illinois. The brick house was constructed in 1879–80 for Thomas Hoopes, the founder of Hoopeston, and was originally an Italianate building. In 1894, Hoopes' niece and her husband, James A. Cunningham, purchased the house.
