In the revival series, Sinister kidnapped Jean and created a clone of her, to infiltrate the X-Men and had a son with Cyclops, so that he can access the DNA of both Cyclops and Jean. In the episode "Fire Made Flesh", when the original Jean showed up, having escaped from Sinister, the other Jean was shocked to discover that she was a clone.
