Bestival was a four-day music festival held in the south of England. The name Bestival is a portmanteau of the words best and festival. It had been held annually in the late summer since 2004 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. In 2017 the festival relocated to the Lulworth Estate in Dorset.
The show was such a success that queues formed and there were traffic jams in the St Austell area. In 2019, they also embarked on a tour with P&O Cruises . Dick and Dom have taken the festival version of the show to many family festivals including Camp Bestival , The Big Feastival, CarFest , The Great Wonderfest, Jimmy's Festival, Chalfest ...
Camp Bestival is a British music festival, the "little sister" of Bestival, both organised by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank. It is held annually, in July, at Lulworth Castle in Dorset [ 1 ] and is targeted at families with small children. [ 2 ]
They also played at the Truck Festival, [1] [2] Latitude Festival, All Tomorrow's Parties, [3] Bestival, Cambridge Film Festival [4] and the Reading and Leeds festivals. In October 2007, the band released a 5-track CD EP in collaboration with Adam Gnade entitled Honey Slides on guitarist Al English's label Try Harder .
The show also toured UK theatres and Family Festivals. In 2016, it was announced via Dick and Dom's official Twitter account that Dick vs Dom would go on its first full UK tour in 2017 [ 2 ] The tour began on 10 April 2017 and ended on 29 October 2017, running for 22 shows. [ 3 ]
Bestival Live 2011 is a live album recorded by English rock band The Cure during Bestival 2011 music festival in September 2011. It was first released in Germany on 2 December 2011, before being released in the UK on 5 December 2011. [9] It is the band's first live album since Paris, which was released in 1993. [10]
