The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of Purdue University Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States.The program's first season was in 1970, and it has been a member of the NCAA Division I Horizon League since the start of the 2021 season.

Founded in 1964, IPFW was a cooperatively managed regional campus of two state university systems: Indiana University and Purdue University. IPFW hit its highest enrollment in 2014, with 13,459 undergraduate and postgraduate students [1] in nine colleges and schools, including a branch of the Indiana University School of Medicine.
From 2018–19, the former IPFW athletic program represents only PFW, and its Summit League membership was assumed by PFW. Shortly before the dissolution took effect, but after the school's baseball season had finished, the athletic program announced that it would henceforth be known as the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. Robert Fitzroy Pierce (born October 17, 1978) is an American baseball coach and former player. He most recently served as head coach of the Purdue University Fort Wayne from the 2009 season to 2019. He played at UNLV, Central Arizona, and New Mexico State. With Central Arizona, he played in the 1999 JUCO World Series.
