The Sri Ranganayaka Swamy temple is a Vijayanagara era temple built by Krishnadeva Raya, but damaged during the Deccan Sultanate era campaigns. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th-century, and is a part of the five temples within the Sri Krishnadevaraya Group of Temples. It is a Vaishnava temple themed around the sleeping Vishnu legends.

Wanaparthy district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. [1] Its headquarters is Wanaparthy . The district shares boundaries with Gadwal , Mahabubnagar , Narayanpet , Nagarkurnool districts, as well as the state boundary of Andhra Pradesh .
Wanaparthy was governed by a feudal ruler, Rameshwar Rao II titled Raja of Wanaparthy as vassal of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Wanaparthy was one of the 14 major Zamindari segments in Telangana in Post-independent India. Raja died on 22 November 1922. As his successor, Krishna Dev was a minor, his estate was managed by the Court as his ward.
