Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey (stylized as MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~THE JOURNEY~) is the fourth Japanese and eighth overall studio album by South Korean boy band BTS.The band's first full-length Japanese offering in two years since Face Yourself (2018), the album was released on July 14, 2020, through Universal Music Japan and Big Hit Entertainment.
BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan; lit. Bulletproof Boy Scouts), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010. The band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who co-write or co-produce much of their material.
Jimin was the last Big Hit trainee to be added to the lineup that would eventually become BTS. Of the band's seven members, he spent the shortest period of time—six months—as a trainee prior to debuting. [13] On June 13, 2013, he debuted as a vocalist and dancer in BTS with the song "No More Dream" from their first single 2 Cool 4 Skool. [14]
On November 23 and 24, 2019, BTS performed "Lights" live for the first time as part of their fifth Japanese fan-meeting concert- Magicshop, at the Zozo Marine Stadium, Chiba, Japan. The band again performed the song on December 14 and 15 of the same year, at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan. [43] [44] [45]
