Ashland is a city in and the county seat of Ashland County, Ohio, United States, [6] about 66 miles (106 km) southwest of Cleveland and 82 miles (132 km) northeast of Columbus. The population was 19,225 at the 2020 census .
The boys varsity golf teams have the only state championships recorded in school history, in 1962 and 1998. The boys and girls golf teams advanced to the OHSAA Division 1 State Golf Championships in 2008 [ 4 ] and the girls team returned to the championships in 2009 where senior Rachel Thompson received medalist runner-up honors.
