KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! is an anime television series based on the light novels of the same title written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. The first season adapts the first two volumes and ran in Japan on Tokyo MX and other networks from January 14 to March 17, 2016.
After leaving Alderp's mansion, Kazuma is forced to report his failure to catch the thief to Iris, who reluctantly dismisses him from the castle. That night, Chris meets Kazuma again, explaining she is looking for powerful items called the Divine Treasures, the special tools given to each of the reincarnated Japanese people.
Finding no support from his allies, Kazuma is arrested for treason due to accidentally blowing up a noble's mansion. As Aqua makes various failed attempts to break him loose, Kazuma is interrogated by the prosecutor, Sena, using a magic lie detector.
The first two seasons, respectively aired from January 14 to March 17, 2016, and January 11 to March 16, 2017, adapt the first four volumes of the light novels. The anime series was later followed by the J.C.Staff-produced animated film KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!
