Three lime kilns built about 1865, built into the side of a hill behind a solid stone wall, 20 to 30 feet high.
The canal comprises a sea lock at Landcross, a 60-foot inclined plane at Weare Giffard and an aqueduct of five arches over the River Torridge at Beam. [3] At the terminus of the canal at the limekilns at Rosemoor a leat supplies the canal to ensure a constant water level, which channels-off water from the River Torridge at Healand (or Darkham) Weir, [4] rebuilt in 1837.
