Eleanor Sokoloff (née Blum; June 16, 1914 – July 12, 2020) was an American pianist and academic who formed a piano duo with her husband, Vladimir Sokoloff.She taught piano on the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music from 1936 until her death in 2020.
Having started piano at age 3, Graffman entered the Curtis Institute of Music at age 7 in 1936 as a piano student of Isabelle Vengerova. [1] After graduating from Curtis in 1946, he made his professional solo debut with conductor Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra. [2] From 1946 to 1948, he studied at Columbia University.
He succeeded de Lancie as oboe instructor at the Curtis Institute in 1985. He is faculty member at the Aspen Music Festival and has taught at the Luzerne and Sarasota Music Festivals, among others. Woodhams's teachers include Raymond Dusté, John de Lancie, John Mack, Robert Bloom, and Jean-Louis LeRoux.

Tertius Noble.Dr. Noble was unable to take any more students and so suggested that McCurdy study instead with the great Lynnwood Farnam, first in New York (1924–1927) and then in Philadelphia's newly established Curtis Institute of Music.
