Al Ain English Speaking School (AAESS) is the only coeducational independent all-through school in Al Ain, catering for all ages three to 18; Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form. The school was founded in 1976 by the construction company Balfour group who were commissioned to build part of the infrastructure of Al Ain's drainage system.

Al Ain University (AAU) (Arabic: جامعة العين), formerly the Al Ain University of Science and Technology, is a private university with its main campus in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, and a satellite campus in Abu Dhabi. It was founded in 2004 by UAE's first President, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan.
In its capacity as a business school, UAEU was placed as the third best business school in Africa and the Middle East in the 2010 QS Global 200 Business Schools Report. [14] As a research university the UAEU is ranked as number one in the GCC countries, number two in the Arab World, and ninth in the Muslim world.
