The Conservation Corps State Museum is located in four barracks buildings on the grounds of Camp San Luis Obispo. Opened in 1995, the museum exhibits the works of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in California. One building is a replica of a 1930s CCC barracks, including tools, uniforms and other artifacts. The Rabideau CCC Camp was a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in the Chippewa National Forest in northern Minnesota, United States.It is located off Beltrami County Highway 39, in Taylor Township, and is one of the best-preserved of the nation's many CCC camps.
The site was used by the United States Forest Service as a smokejumper school for conscientious objectors in the Civilian Public Service Program during World War II. [4] [5] This smokejumper program operated from May 1943 to April 1946 under the name "CPS Camp No. 103". [6] It is the only CCC-constructed youth camp in Montana. [7]
