The idea of having a Deaf flag was largely accepted by the ordinary members (consisting of a national Deaf organisation), but the World Federation of the Deaf postponed the discussion on the design of the flag and its position on supporting the use of the flag proposed by Sweden to the next board meeting, to be held in Norway in November 2011.
