Cambria Township is located in the center of Cambria County at 40.515887,-78.744507, [4] 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Johnstown and 25 miles (40 km) west of Altoona. U.S. Route 22 crosses the township from east to west, U.S. Route 219 crosses it from north to south, and U.S. Route 422 leads west from Ebensburg across the western portion of the township.
