Doctors Association of Bangladesh is a professional organisation of registered MBBS and BDS doctors in Bangladesh. It is politically aligned with the right-wing Bangladesh Nationalist Party . [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] It is a rival of the left-wing Awami League -backed doctors association, Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad .
Its hospital has 400 beds. [6] The building of the institute is built on 7243.873 square meter land. The hospital has 44 regular doctors. The 184-member institute has divisions named Adult Psychiatry, Pediatrics & Development Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry & Community Psychiatry, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Pathology and Social Welfare.
The hospital building is a 18-storey structure equipped with rooftop helipad and a ground parking facility for 180 vehicles. It has three blocks for three separate units - Burn unit, Plastic surgery unit and academic wing. It was built at a cost of 912 crore bdt. [14] [15] The facility was constructed by Bangladesh Army's engineering core. [15]
