Central Christian was founded in 1961 and is owned and operated by the Ohio Conference of the Mennonite Church. [2] It is the first Mennonite high school in Ohio. Peltier married Dorothy Nihiser in November 1933. An amateur astronomer, he was a prolific discoverer of comets and also a persistent observer of variable stars and member of the AAVSO.
