Tāne Mahuta, also called "God of the Forest", is a giant kauri tree (Agathis australis) in the Waipoua Forest of Northland Region, New Zealand. Its age is unknown but is estimated to be between 1,250 and 2,500 years. It is the largest living kauri tree known to stand today. [1] It is named after Tāne, the Māori god of forests and of birds. Tūmatauenga. Tūmatauenga (Tū of the angry face) is the primary god (atua) of war and human activities such as hunting, food cultivation, fishing, and cooking in Māori mythology. In creation stories, Tū suggests to kill his parents to allow light into the world. After they are instead separated.
Rua dropped Wiremu and Tane (Dominic Ona-Ariki) to his brother in law – TK's (Benjamin Mitchell) and several weeks later showed disappointment in his son for trying to climb the water tank.
