UCF vs. UF vs. UMiami (premed) Hi! Burnett Medical Scholar (BMS), which guarantees admission into its medical school if some conditions are met. However, these conditions are not easy. 3.75 GPA and 512 MCAT. If I change major, UCF is not highly ranked. Best ranked school among the ones under consideration.
If you're okay with being in Gainesville, the Gators are the way to go. I say that as a UF undergrad going on USF med student. UCF - good tuition in years past, fancy campus, clearly a good preclinical education. Those made it very popular with students. But its research and rotations don't stand up to UF/UM/USF.
UCF has the best facilities, being the newest (except for a rec center, which Miami and FAU have amazing centers.) Florida wins on climate against SLU hands down! Orlando might be a little cooler than Boca or Miami, though I don't know by how much. SLU and FAU both use a pass/fail system, whereas UCF and Miami both have grades or numbers attached.
Dec 9, 2008. #1. Pre-Vet UF vs. UCF. I'm having a hard time deciding between UCF or UF for my undergraduate Pre-Vet studies. UF is the only veterinary medicine school in Florida so that's probably where I'm going for graduate school. I got accepted to UCF for the summer and also applied to UF for the summer.
Note: UCF and USF, although A/B/C/F graded, are not on a curve (no limit on the number of A's, B's, etc.) Students seem very friendly and collaborative.
