Dont get me wrong. It works just fine, and doubles as freestanding burners. The black stone is far better for a griddle. Dollar for dollar i think i paid less for my 36” blackstone than i did for the camp chef and the additional purchase of the griddle. Honestly i use the camp chef for the burners almost every cook.
NY. Oct 14, 2024. #9. I got the 16" wide Camp Chef back in the spring cheap, with a griddle surface and hood, overkill for me but it's a nice rig...still haven't used the grill section, and rarely the griddle , mostly use the one burner with a steel pan. Could have just got the 22" Blackstone with stand and hood, but it ended up similar in ...
The camp chef I’m looking at is cabinet style like the copperhead and I don’t believe it has the sear station. Thanks for the thoughts about hanging meat, the camp chef also has several hooks for hanging meat, the website says they’re for sausage but I’m sure they could handle a pork belly too.
I have recently cooked on a Blackstone, but do not own one. They are both fantastic products, and you can't go wrong with either. Personally I think the Camp Chef is the better choice, simply because you can remove the griddle and use it as a 2 burner stove, or use any of the other Camp Chef accessories. The Blackstone seems to be a griddle ...
I recently bought a new Camp Chef Smokepro XT pellet grill. From Camp Chef's site this was supposed to be functionally the same grill as the more expensive Smokepro DLX (just missing a side table and the pellet dump). So far I've been pretty disappointed in it. Chief complaints 1) Wide...
I am thinking about either the Camp Chef FlatTop 600 or the Costco Camp Chef Tundra 3 burner stove. This is primarily for home use. I know the Tundra has 3x30,000 BTUs vs the FTG 600's 4x12,000 BTUs. After watching some videos, the FTG looks like it has enough heat - any thoughts? The Tundra...
I have a Camp Chef Pro 90X camp stove with their 36” griddle over the top & I prefer it to my 36” Blackstone. I also have a Camp Chef pellet pooper & I’m sold on Camp Chef stuff. I typically don’t see their stuff on sale much unfortunately but you can subscribe to outdoorcooking.com to see if they run a special.
Full Fledged Farker. Joined. Nov 10, 2017. Location. Seacoast, NH. Mar 11, 2020. #4. I love my Camp Chef stuff, built like a brick sh*t house but I got rid of my PRO90X set up due to weight & replaced it with the Blackstone tailgate 22” model for camping.
Looking for griddle advice. Found a Camp Chef Pro 90 3 burner stove on Craigslist for $125. Is 125 a good deal for the Pro 90? Next step would be to add the griddle. Or, should I just spend the money for a new Blackstone? Owner said the Camp Chef was used once and "they are not campers".....
When I was researching Pellet cookers and finally decided to buy, my final choice came down to the Camp Chef Woodwind and the RecTec. For me, the RecTec won in the end. I chose cooking space and wifi over the sear box. I was convinced the RecTec was a slightly better cooker. (not that there is anything wrong with the Camp Chef)
