Adjuntas barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center of Adjuntas, a municipality of Puerto Rico.Its population in 2010 was 4,406. [1] [4] [5] [6]As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called pueblo which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church.
Adjuntas (Spanish pronunciation: [aðˈxuntas]) is a small mountainside town and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the central midwestern portion of the island on the Cordillera Central, north of Yauco, Guayanilla, and Peñuelas; southeast of Utuado; east of Lares and Yauco; and northwest of Ponce.
Like all municipalities of Puerto Rico, Toa Baja is subdivided into administrative units called barrios, which are, in contemporary times, roughly comparable to minor civil divisions, [1] (and means wards or boroughs or neighborhoods in English).
