The World Darts Federation (WDF) is a sport governing body [1] [2] and (along with the PDC) a tournament organiser for the game of darts. It was formed in 1974 by representatives of the original fourteen founding members. [2] Membership is open to the national organising body for darts in all nations.
The WDF Americas Cup is a darts tournament held biennially since 2002. The tournament consists of a singles championship. All events have a men's and women's competitions. In 2010-2014 a youth tournament was played. Since 2016 there is individual competitions for boys and girls.
The prize money of the tournaments may vary depending on category. Two of WDF's most prestigious events are due to be held in 2023, WDF World Darts Championship (to be held in December), [1] and WDF World Cup (to be held in September) 2023 is the third year in darts under WDF-sole management after the demise of BDO in 2020.
