Bohemond IV, second son of Bohemond III of Antioch, succeeded to the Countship upon Raymond's death. After Bohemond III died in 1201, the county was in personal union with Antioch for all but three years (1216–1219) until Antioch's fall to the Mamluks in 1268. Tripoli survived for a few more years.

Raymond-Roupen was the only son of the first-born son of Bohemond III and thus heir by primogeniture, but Bohemond was Bohemond III's closest male relative and so heir by proximity of blood. [ 25 ] In early 1198, Bohemond marched to Antioch and gained the support of the military orders and the Italian merchants, promising new grants to them. [ 26 ]

Theodora Komnene (fl. 1140) was a grandniece of Manuel I Komnenos, Byzantine emperor, a possible daughter of John Komnenos and the second wife of Bohemond III, prince of Antioch. [1] [2] She was the mother of : Constance (died young) Philippe, married Baudouin Patriarch; Manuel (1176 † 1211) Her granduncle Manuel I Komnenos died in 1180.
