The Hino da Região Autónoma da Madeira (English: Anthem of the Autonomous Region of Madeira) is the official anthem of Madeira, an autonomous North Atlantic archipelago of Portugal. It was adopted in 1980, through Regional Decree 12/80/M of September 16. [1] [2] The lyrics are by Ornelas Teixeira and the music by João Víctor Costa.

Ponta de São Lourenço from Baixas do Guincho, the vicinity of the island's new port. Northeast of the islet is Porto Santo, and southeast is Bugio and the Deserted Islands. Nearby are a few islets with the easternmost being Ilhéu do Farol (Farol Islet), where its nearby lighthouse is located. The headland's highest point is Pico do Furado.

The Quinta da Boa Vista is a historic quinta ('estate') and orchid garden in the Santa Maria Maior parish of Funchal on the island of Madeira, overlooking the central and western parts of Funchal. It contains one of the last remaining walled stair terrace gardens of Funchal and continues to draw its water from the levada irrigation system. [ 1 ]
