The African School of Economics (ASE) is a private university headquartered in Abomey-Calavi (near Cotonou), Republic of Benin. The Nile University of Nigeria Library was established in 2009 (the same year the university was established) to support the teaching, learning and research objectives of the university. On November 27, 2024, it was renamed after Professor Yusuf M. Karodia, an educationist and founder of MANCOSA and Regent Business School. [18]
The African University of Science and Technology is an international undergraduate and post-graduate university located in Abuja, Nigeria. It was founded in 2007 as the first part of a pan-African university system concept developed by the Nelson Mandela Institution .
The university had its origin as the Lagos Business School (LBS), established in 1991. The federal government approved the university as Pan-African University in 2002, and the LBS became its first school. The Ajah Campus was completed in 2003 and in 2010 work began on the Ibeju-Lekki campus. [1]
The university was originally named the ABTI American University of Nigeria before it was renamed to AUN. AUN is the first American-style institution of higher learning in sub-Saharan Africa (the only other such university in Africa is the American University in Cairo in Egypt). [3] AUN is a member of the Global Liberal Arts Alliance.
Baze University held its fourth convocation ceremony in 2017 with former president Goodluck Jonathan in attendance [7]. In 2017, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) entered a collaborative partnership with the university to integrate and embed ACCA curriculum into the university curriculum to assist efforts to grow the number of finance and accounting professionals in Africa.
