As of series 24, 281 celebrities have competed, 16 of which have entered the jungle twice.Model and TV personality Katie Price, who appeared as a contestant in the third and ninth series respectively, was the only celebrity to have competed in two separate series, until the South Africa "All-Stars" series in 2023 which featured the return of other former campmates.

Fatima Whitbread would return to the series eleven years later to participate in I'm a Celebrity... South Africa alongside other former contestants to try to become the first I'm a Celebrity legend. Whitbread finished third once again, losing out to series 6 contestant Myleene Klass and series 16 contestant Jordan Banjo .
The five winners of this prize will be decided by five 'bush battles' (one winner in each.) Each of the 12 celebrities will compete in one of four battles, each containing three campmates. The winners will automatically gain immunity while the second-placed contestants will compete for a final place in the fifth and final bout.
