Zettler Hardware Co. (founded by Zettler in 1886) moved into the space in 1925, occupying it until 1940. The hardware company moved into another space downtown, and has since expanded to several locations around Central Ohio. The business is still owned by the Zettler family, and is the oldest hardware retailer in Columbus.

Cameron Mitchell is president and founder of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. He gained notoriety in the restaurant industry in 2008, when two of the company's concepts: Mitchell's/Columbus Fish Market and Mitchell's/Cameron's Steakhouse—a total of 22 units—sold to Ruth's Hospitality Group for $92 million.
By 1955, Marzetti's upstairs kitchen of the restaurant became a full-scale factory, and the Marzetti brand of salad dressings found its way into grocery stores throughout Ohio. By the late 1960's, the company built a dressing production plant in Columbus' Clintonville neighborhood on Indianola Avenue.
