The Crowley Historic District, in Crowley in Acadia Parish, Louisiana, is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The initial listing covered 210 acres (85 ha) and included 270 contributing buildings. [1] The listing was enlarged in 2024.
Crowley (Local pronunciation: / ˈ k r æ l i /) is a city in, and the parish seat of, Acadia Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. [2] At the 2020 United States census, Crowley had a population of 11,710. [3] Crowley is the principal city of the Crowley micropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Acadia Parish.
The camera was owned by the Wright brothers, who were careful to record the history-making moment, and also to preserve a record for any future patent claims. The plate was not developed until the Wright Brothers returned to Ohio. [3] The Wrights made four flights that day; three were photographed: the first, third and fourth.

The Wright Brothers Band, formerly known as the Wright Brothers Overland Stage Company, formed in 1972, is an Indiana-based music group.They perform songs from the 1920s to the present day, and can cover bluegrass, pop standards, country, gospel, and even Aerosmith rock standards.
Crowley police said the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in a residence at the 1000 block of McDonald Drive. Two individuals were transported to local hospitals, and one later died.
