High Knob is a mountain summit on the border between Hampshire and Hardy counties in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. [1] High Knob is known for its overlook of The Trough and of points in three counties. A historical marker was placed on U.S. Route 220/West Virginia Route 28 noting its scenic and historical value.
Adjacent to the state park is the 11,926-acre (48.26 km 2) Pennsylvania State Game Lands No. 26. This area combined with the park creates an area of over 17,000 acres (69 km 2 ) of public land. There are a few areas in Blue Knob State Park which are closed to hunting (see park map).
