Louisiana Highway 4 (LA 4) is a state highway located in northern Louisiana. It runs 164.54 miles (264.80 km) in an east–west direction from U.S. Highway 71 (US 71) at Loggy Bayou to LA 605 in Newellton. The entire route parallels Interstate 20 (I-20) an average of about 20 miles (32 km) to the south.
LA 3152 originally included only the part of Clearview Parkway/South Clearview Parkway between the Earhart Expressway and West Metairie Avenue. In 2010, the route was extended on both the northern and southern ends to its present termini at U.S. 90/LA 48 and I-10.
The expressway was not initially constructed as part of the Interstate Highway System, although the Louisiana Department of Highways designed it for future inclusion. [10] It was given the internal designation of LA 3022 and also served as part of US 61/190 Bus. from its opening on August 20, 1957 until 1960. [9] [11]
