Mona Shores Public Schools is a public school district located in Michigan, United States, in the western side of the state near Lake Michigan. The district is located just south of Muskegon and includes most of the city of Norton Shores , and all of the city of Roosevelt Park .
Mona Shores Public Schools was formed by merging five K-8 school districts into one K-12 district on September 14, 1959. A construction bond was passed in the spring of 1960 and Mona Shores High School opened for the 1962-63 school year. [2]
To graduate, students must receive twenty-two and one half (22.5) credits. The minimum graduation requirements for Forest Hills Northern include four credits of English; four credits of mathematics; three credits of science; three credits of social science; one credit of physical education and health; one credit of visual, performing, applied arts; and two credits of a foreign language.

Norton Shores has a total area of 24.6 square miles (64 km 2), of which 1.4 square miles (3.63 km 2), or 5.6%, are water. Lake Harbor Park is a 189-acre (76 ha) park located on Lake Harbor Road, just north of the Mona Lake Channel. The park has over 4,000 feet (1,200 m) on Lake Michigan, 2,000 feet (610 m) on the Mona Lake Channel and 1,500 feet (460 m) on Mona Lake. The park can be accessed by foot, bike, car or boat.
Gilles Chiasson (born November 1, 1966) is an American producer, director, composer, writer and actor. While he first came to prominence as an actor, particularly in the original cast of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning RENT, Chiasson went on to work in film and television development, then theater administration and operations, and now works in education.
