RAJUK is composed of various public officials, city planners, urban administrators, engineers, and architects. It is the National Authoritative Board on building planning, estates and resources, plot allotment, and construction approvals from both public and private entities.
Rajuk Bhaban is an important architectural monument of Dhaka city. It is one of the primitive buildings of East Pakistan.It is a very congested building. There were so many black columns in the middle phase of RAJUK bhaban, which created much confusion about the perfect uses of the column in architecture.
The project was founded in 1997, adjacent to Dhaka-Mawa Highway in Keraniganj. It has a total of 1,635 plots for housing and Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha plans to build 12 thousand apartments.
RAJUK [note 1] completed the first phase of the project in 1992. In this phase, Uttara had 6,000 plots. The total land for these plots was 950 acres. [4] Completed sectors in 1st phase are Sector 1, Sector 2, Sector 3, Sector 4, Sector 5, Sector 6, Sector 7, Sector 8, Sector 9, and Sector 10.
