The North Forsyth High School is the only high school campus in the county that has a JROTC program, which is based on the United States Marine Corps. North Forsyth's MCJROTC has been awarded National Naval Honor School nine consecutive years. As of the 2012–2013 school year, the Raider Battalion had 197 total cadets enrolled.
The school is located at 4155 Drew Road. [3] [4] West Forsyth High School opened in 2007 with 1,200 students in grades 9 through 11, with a senior class added the following year. West Forsyth High School was the first true high school since Forsyth Central (formally Forsyth County High) was built in 1955.
Kansas schools will soon be required to accept students from outside of their attendance areas. That’s left Johnson County districts worried about staffing levels and added costs.
