Hedges has a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from George Mason University, and a Masters and PhD in Zoology from the University of Maryland, supervised by Richard Highton. [1] Before he joined Temple University in 2014, he was a professor at Penn State. [1] [2] He is also a founding member of the NASA Astrobiology Center.
