Trail of Tears is a Norwegian gothic/symphonic black metal formed in 1997. Through most of their career the band emphasised the use of contrasting soprano and death grunt vocals, except for the release of Free Fall into Fear in 2005, in which the band switched this contrast mostly to tenor and growls, with less frequent soprano passages.
Bloodstained Endurance is the sixth studio album by the Norwegian gothic metal band Trail of Tears.It was the first full-length album recorded after Kjetil Nordhus, Runar Hansen, Kjell Rune Hagen and Jonathan Perez left the band in November 2006, forcing frontman Ronny Thorsen to assemble a new band.

Existentia is the fifth album by Norwegian gothic metal band Trail of Tears.It was released on January 26 (Europe) and January 30 (USA), 2007. It is the last full-length album recorded with Kjetil Nordhus, Runar Hansen, Kjell Rune Hagen and Jonathan Perez, all of whom left the band in November 2006.
