GDScript, a scripting language very similar to Python, built-in to the Godot game engine. [238] Go is designed for the "speed of working in a dynamic language like Python" [239] and shares the same syntax for slicing arrays. Groovy was motivated by the desire to bring the Python design philosophy to Java. [240]
Checks that a file with a specified name exists. This check is essential for programs that use file handling. Format check Checks that the data is in a specified format (template), e.g., dates have to be in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Regular expressions may be used for this kind of validation. Sort of agree. Scripting is a subjective view. There is a wide-grey line between what is a script and what is something other than a script. For example, a Python script that's 10 lines long I would call a script without hesitation. If I write an application in Python that involves multiple directories of files, I'd argue that is not a script.

A wide variety of dynamic or scripting languages can be embedded in compiled executable code. Basically, object code for the language's interpreter needs to be linked into the executable. Source code fragments for the embedded language can then be passed to an evaluation function as strings.
reStructuredText (RST, ReST, or reST) is a file format for textual data used primarily in the Python programming language community for technical documentation.. It is part of the Docutils project of the Python Doc-SIG (Documentation Special Interest Group), aimed at creating a set of tools for Python similar to Javadoc for Java or Plain Old Documentation (POD) for Perl.
A scripting language can be a general purpose language or a domain-specific language for a particular environment. When embedded in an application, it may be called an extension language . A scripting language is sometimes referred to as very high-level programming language if it operates at a high level of abstraction, or as a control language ...
In some languages, particularly scripting languages, the "Hello, World!" program can be written as one statement, while in others (more so many low-level languages) many more statements can be required. For example, in Python, to print the string Hello, World! followed by a newline, one only needs to write print ("Hello, World!").
