Ocean View Elementary School District is a school district in Ventura County, California, U.S. It is located towards the south of Oxnard and encompasses 80 sq mi (210 km 2) of land on the coast west of Malibu. The District currently enrolls about 2,500 students in its schools and contains a diverse ethnic population.
The district was formed in 1962 after previous administration of Ventura College had been in combination with the Ventura High School District. The district offices share a building with the Ventura Unified School District at 255 W. Stanley Ave., Ventura. [1] The building was the corporate headquarters for Kinkos until 2002.
The Ventura Pier is owned and operated by the City of Ventura. The city acquired the pier in 1993 from the State of California. The California Department of Parks and Recreation owned the pier from 1949 to 1993. The city had previously owned the pier from 1940 to 1949. Before 1940, the pier was privately owned. [2] [3] [4]
