Camp Mack is a fishing lodge, RV resort campground and recreation event venue in Lake Wales, Florida. In March 2018 the lodge was rebranded as Camp Mack. Lake Wauburg is irregular in shape, covering 1.6 square kilometres (0.62 sq mi) with about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) of shoreline. The fertile green water supports shad and a deep grass line is good to hold fish. It had a maximum depth of 3 metres (9.8 ft) and offers excellent Black Crappie and Bass fishing.
Skyway Fishing Pier State Park is a Florida State Park located on the north and south sides of the mouth of Tampa Bay. When the original cantilevered Sunshine Skyway Bridge , carrying I-275 ( US 19 ), partially collapsed in 1980, due to the collision of a freighter on one of its pilings, it was replaced by the current bridges.
In 1978 the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission constructed draw down structures in the sink basin on the north end and under the bridge on N. Meridian Road but were removed by 1980 due to damage from bald cypress roots. Northwest Florida Water Management District welded the sluice gates open and the sink drains continuously.
Kinhega Lodge was established and Lake Monkey Business remained. Kinhega Lodge would eventually become Kinhega Lodge Estates, Limited. In the early 1970s the property was sold again to investors, who developed the property into Killearn Lakes Plantation, a development of over 4500 homes. [1]
