Woodlawn High School (commonly Woodlawn or WHS) is a public high school in Old Jefferson, a census-designated place in unincorporated East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States, in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area. [2] [3] It is operated by the East Baton Rouge Parish School District.
Ferguson played high school football in Shreveport, Louisiana, for Woodlawn High School. He guided the Knights to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class AAA (the top classification at the time) state championship in 1968. Ferguson succeeded Terry Bradshaw as Woodlawn's starting quarterback.
District 4 is an athletic league, a member of the 5A division of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA). Division 5A is the highest level in the LHSAA, comprising schools with more than 1,159 students. [1]
