Coffee Regional Medical Center is the sole hospital provider in Douglas, Georgia, in the United States, and surrounding Coffee County, Georgia. The facility opened in 1998 on Georgia State Route 32 west of downtown Douglas, Georgia, and replaces the original structure built in 1953.

The new hospital opened in 1975. In 1976, Douglas Hospital opened its birthing center. It became one of the first hospitals in the nation where mothers and newborns roomed together. In 1993, Douglas General merged with several other hospitals in the Northwest Georgia Health System. In 1998, the system was renamed WellStar Health System.
The other hospitals were: Cobb, Douglas, Paulding and Windy Hill. In 1998, Northwest became WellStar Health System. The health system was rebranded in 2022 as Wellstar Health System. In 2011, Kennestone hospital was upgraded to a Level II trauma center, making it the third level II trauma center in Metro Atlanta.

The emergency department underwent a major expansion in 2006 and a new patient tower opened in September 2007, taking the hospital to 202 beds. [7] In 2016, North Fulton Hospital became part of the Wellstar Health System. [8] In 2020, the hospital was named one of Newsweek's Best Maternity Hospitals, reporting 809 annual deliveries. [9]
