After graduation and passage of the state board exams (see above for score requirements) NC cosmetic art school graduates must file application either online via the Online License Application or by mail via the paper License Application and fees.

The salon license will arrive approximately 2-3 weeks after the inspection. Fees are: $25 registration + $10 processing + $3 per chair operating in the salon. When using FDA rated devices licensees must maintain specification sheets and the intended use statement for inspector review. If the device is rated class 2 the licensee must provide the name, license number, and contact information for the supervising physician at the time of inspection.
